We’ve noticed that our community is starting to branch off into a wide variety of topics on the forums… not just on Heartland. Over the past couple of weeks, people have begun to discuss other favourite TV shows, Twitter accounts, to even what they’re having for breakfast.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.  In fact, we encourage it. It’s these interesting tidbits, like what our “favourite movie with a horse” is, that makes all of us unique.

It’s also what makes the actors of Heartland stand out.

When I Love Heartland sat down with Kerry James, we discussed almost everything on the series. Then, we took a side journey from the Heartland path and started talking about his favourite movies, actors, books, and much more.

And in that time, we found a writer that he really respects and admires.

Turns out, some of you do too.  In one of the community threads, users have started talking about Shakespeare.  Well, did you know that one of Kerry James’ favourite literary writers IS Shakespeare?

This is what he had to say:

Kerry James:    If there is one thing in the world that I swear on my life is that one day I will do Hamlet. I want to bring Hamlet on a big level to Vancouver. I’ve reread it maybe four or five times over this last year and I’m going out of my way to learn all the monologues in it just so that I can be ready should the opportunity ever arise. It is the best piece of literature ever written with the most perfect question ever asked, “To be, or not to be: that is the question.” It doesn’t get any better than that.

Kerry James’ full interview will be in the next issue of our Digital Zine due out in the summer.  And in regards to the forums, feel free to chat about whatever you please… even if it is about breakfast.
